Я знаю, что это может показаться немного арканином, но почему бы не просто указать каталог, содержащий базу данных.

Если вы используете SQL Server Management Studio (начиная с SQL 2005 или новее), вы можете просто щелкнуть правой кнопкой мыши свойства в самой базе данных, а затем перейти на вкладку хранилища.
